Water Meter Facility Relocation

Mainline Contracting Water & Sewer Projects in South Dakota

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

EAFB Water Meter Facility Relocation Project

Owner: City of Rapid City

The city of Rapid City has supplied water to EAFB since the construction of a water transmission line in the early 1950’s. At the time the water main was constructed it was connected to the edge of the city supply system in North Rapid. Now that the aging metering facility at that location is in need of reconstructing, the city has decided to relocate the facility to Dyess Ave. This will eliminate over two miles of aging waterline.

Work is scheduled to begin constructing this new modern facility in early June of this year, and is scheduled to be complete by Oct. 30, 2015.

Update: The project was completed ontime and with in the budget.
