Mainline Contracting Inc had a subcontract from Anderson Western Inc for the pipe work on the US Highway 212 Project. Mainline Contracting Inc performed approximately 100 culvert repairs along a 48 mile stretch of US Highway 212 starting at Newell, SD and heading east. Our portion of the work included culvert sliplining, boring & jacking steel casing, culvert end section replacements, full cross pipe replacements, abandonment of old culverts, installation of gabion baskets, and aggregate rip rap. Culvert sizes ranged from 18” to 84”. The project also included some cattle pass structures and box culvert repairs. The project started in Spring of 2022 and was completed in Fall of 2022. Mainline Contracting Inc was able to have multiple crews working on this project at the same time in order to meet the completion date requirements.
